NASA Releases Sharpest-Ever Mars Panorama from Perseverance Rover

NASA’s Perseverance rover has sent back the sharpest-ever panorama of the Jezero Crater on Mars. The image, stitched together from hundreds of individual frames, shows the ancient river delta formations at the crater’s edge in unprecedented detail.
Geologists are particularly focused on the layered sedimentary structures visible in the panorama — features that may have been carved by flowing liquid water billions of years ago. If confirmed, this would mark a significant lead in the search for traces of ancient Martian life.
“The resolution of this panorama lets us observe the Martian surface as if we were standing right there,” said a project scientist at NASA JPL.
The r/space community on Reddit has been buzzing. The top-voted comment reads: “Looking at these photos, I honestly think humans on Mars by 2040 isn’t a dream anymore.”
